Ben and Gemma were cool when we turned up at the chateau Saint Michel in the Ariège region of the French Pyrenees. Everything’s fine, no panic, no stress. Gemma was getting ready, Ben was helping sort things out, relaxed, smiling, enjoying himself. It took a while to get his tie right, but then I guess we’d all be the same, what is the perfect knot? And then we’re all standing outside and he’s right at the front amongst his friends and family, and then he sees Gemma walking down the isle in her wedding dress and it’s like the world stands still and he’s breathing in deep, his cheeks puffed out, and he’s trembling and you can see how much she means to him, and how happy he is to be here, and then she kisses him and they’re smiling, and there’s not a dry eye in the house and that’s why weddings are so special. Congratulations Gemma & Ben.
