With the first flourish of Autumn, September is a lovely month in the Ariege and provides a beautiful backdrop for a wedding celebration. Add to that the lush lawns and beautiful landscapes of the Chateau St-Michel and Tom and Isabella had found the perfect spot for a special lunch with friends.
With the champagne in full flow and an incredible buffet, there was a party atmosphere as stories were shared and laughter rang around the old grounds. This was a celebration as well as a heartfelt goodbye before Tom and Isabella make their way back to Australia and their new life together, and there were plenty of tears behind the sunglasses.
The meal was crowned with a spectacular piece montée complete with sparklers before more champagne was popped and the happy couple were cheered into the evening.
